Born of the Interface, 2015

“Born of the Interface” focuses on two phenomenon; 3d bioprinting and, teratomas and aims to reframe them not only as natural/technological, intentional/accidental yet similar processes, but also as speculative, science-fictitious figures of excess. Both capable of replicating, regenerating and/or mimicking biological constructs, I was interested in bringing them together in a critical context where the organic and the technological fuses into imaginative tools for redefining technology, femininity, and reproductivity.
